Your Role :

The role of Inside Sales Account Manager for Bioprocessing Americas is to continually and consistently increase MilliporeSigma's market share and revenue by identifying new business opportunities and driving collaboration with customers to solve their unique challenges. As a member of the Bioprocessing Americas team, you will sell a broad portfolio of Upstream and Downstream Technologies including critical raw materials, cell culture media, filtration, chromatography and single use solutions to the biopharmaceutical industry. You will strategically manage projects and resources to ensure long term profitable growth. You will increase MilliporeSigma's market share, emphasize differentiation from MilliporeSigma's competitors, and build upon MilliporeSigma's reputation for excellence within your territory.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that quarterly and annual sales targets are achieved by gaining market share and seeding MilliporeSigma products in territory
  • Develop detailed strategic plans to manage territory for both short- and long-term revenue growth
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to create mutual value for MilliporeSigma and its clients.
  • Identify customer needs/goals/challenges and provides solutions through proper positioning of MilliporeSigma products, services, knowledge, and expertise
  • Develop sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts and soliciting new accounts as needed
  • Preparation of quotations and proposals
  • Embrace the use of CRM and sales tools, to appropriately manage contacts, opportunities, leads, seeding, pipeline, and processes
  • Present MilliporeSigma products and solutions to customers with impact
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders and can shape opinions of stakeholders
  • Build and maintain strong relationships; build credibility and trust
  • Drive internal alignment on projects and initiatives
  • Plan time and priorities in an effective manner to achieve goals for sustainable results
  • Uses skillful questioning to draw out information for diagnosing a situation
  • Evaluate results and make adjustments to achieve better business outcomes; learn from mistakes
  • Perceive the impact and the implications of decisions on other components of the company as well as the impact on clients and suppliers
  • Work closely with functional support organizations to effectively achieve goals
  • Understand the basics of pricing and articulate the value or reasons behind pricing
  • Utilize effective negotiation skills; generate results with positive outcomes for both parties
  • Generate accurate business forecasts
  • Anticipate areas of conflict, manage disagreement, and work toward resolution
  • Respect the needs and contributions of others
Position may include occasional (10%) travel in support of targeted business opportunities and internal meetings.

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry or other Science or Technical discipline
  • 3+ years of experience working in the Life Sciences environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated affinity to influence and/or sell to all levels of an organization
  • Previous sales experience
  • Working knowledge of pharmaceutical and biotech drug production processes/unit operations
  • A committed learner, dedicated to continuously increasing knowledge and skills with a customer-focused mindset
  • Ability to work effectively and support customers in a virtual and digital environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills that translate to a virtual working environment; the ability to call, email, connect and interact positively and effectively with potential customers
  • Self-motivated and assertive; ability to take initiative and work independently
  • Decisive: knows how to build a solid case and can drive a decision when appropriate
  • Demonstrate the ability to persuade, through logic and bottom-line reasoning
  • Possess exceptionally strong conceptual skills - can see the big picture and can translate it compellingly in writing and speech
  • Talented at listening to the expressed needs and wants of others
  • The ability to assess a situation, the people and temperament, and use that information to guide thinking and behavior
